Mercury Maps Showing Named Features
6 January 2010A new set of maps showing all IAU-approved names on Mercury is now available. These maps are based on new mosaics of Mercury, composed of images from the Mariner 10 and MESSENGER missions.

Four New Names for Martian Surface Features

Encke Division Changed to Encke Gap
6 February 2008The name Encke Division, part of Saturn's ring nomenclature, has been changed to Encke Gap in order to conform to the definiton of divisions and gaps recently posted on the Ring and Ring Gap Nomenclature page of the Gazetteer of Planetary Nomenclature.
Martian Crater Formally Named Victoria
