Flynn Creek 1977 Core 2 Box 9
[68-80'] Breccia, principally coarse angular fragments, all tightly interlocked, fragments consist of various limestones and one dolomitic, dark gray, crystalline, dolomitic unit which tends to form with the larger fragments, little crystalline calcite in matrix. Note: 1. Units above strongly resemble breccias encountered at Hicks Dome above the rock flour breccia's, generally described as a tightly interlocked breccia which is usually rather barren. 2. Contact with unit below of considerable interest, upper and lower contacts are very sharp and distinct, both are dipping at about 45 °, both bottom and top contacts represent sharp changes in lithology, unit described below could only be interpreted as an injection of finer breccia or as a large fragment of earlier stage breccia, would tend to interpret it as an injection of later breccia, this strongly indicates at least two generations of brecciation.
