The USGS Astrogeology Science Center is host to the lead science
component of the Imaging Node of the NASA Planetary Data System (PDS).
A partner facility at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) provides
engineering support and technical management for the Imaging Node.
The Imaging Node is a PDS science node that archives over 400 TB in
a growing collection of image and ancillary data from greater than 20 past and
present planetary missions. The Node provides to the NASA planetary
science community the digital image archives, necessary ancillary
data sets, software tools, and technical expertise necessary to
fully utilize the vast collection of digital planetary imagery.
