Viewing and downloading files
Viewing and downloading files; When selecting links from this site, you may attempt to view an image or text file within your active browser by simply selecting (click) the desired link. For image (.jpg, .gif) files, the image will display in the active window. For ASCII text files (.asc), the browser may attempt to display within the active window. However, depending on your Browser and/or system settings, the browser may display an additional window asking whether to 'Open' the link within a defined application or to 'Save' to disk. You can have more direct control over 'opening' or 'saving' by using mouse buttons when selecting links within a page; select the appropriate link by using the right-mouse button to activate the "Save Link as" (Netscape) or "Save Target as" (MS Internet Explorer) option. Once the file is saved to your local hard drive, you may open the file within a specific application. (mouse-button options may vary depending on your platform and browser)
