Visiting the Regional Planetary Information Facility

The Astrogeology RPIF, located on the campus of the USGS Flagstaff Science Center in Flagstaff, Arizona, is open to the public by appointment Monday through Friday, 8:30AM-4:00PM Mountain Standard Time.

Getting to the USGS Flagstaff Science Center

  • Take I-40 to Flagstaff. If driving north on I-17, take the eastbound ramp to I-40 near Flagstaff
  • Take the Butler Avenue exit (Exit 198) towards Flagstaff (0.3 miles)
  • Turn north onto E. Butler Avenue (0.4 miles)
  • Go straight through five-way intersection onto N. Enterprise Road (0.2 miles)
  • Cross the railroad tracks and turn left onto Route 66. (0.3 miles)
  • Turn right onto N. Switzer Canyon Drive (0.5 miles)
  • Turn right onto Turquoise Drive (0.6 miles)
  • Turn right onto E. Forest Avenue (0.6 miles)
  • Turn left onto N. Gemini Drive (0.1 miles)
