Opportunity Sol 15: Jeff Johnson - It's Sol 15 on the Opportunity rover, and I'm on my last shift before heading back to Flagstaff for several days. When last I wrote, Opportunity had just landed and Spirit was getting back up to speed after some pretty serious computer problems. Now, both rovers are in business, and the pace of new data and amazing discoveries is truly dizzying. During one shift two sols ago, the rock Adirondack at the Spirit site had just been brushed with the Rock Abrasion Tool to remove the outer dust coating on the rock. Not many people thought that would really clean the rock very well, so we were amazed when it cleaned the rock face so thoroughly...
